Hey everyone! My name is Lindsay, and I'm a senior at FAU where I run for the cross-country and track teams. I have been running for 9 years now, so I've been around the block a couple (hundred) times when it comes to the ups and downs, the runner's highs, and the lows of injury that come with running. This will be a place for positive encouragement, any advice I can give from my own experiences and to connect with the group of athletes on tumblr, as well as a log to track my own workouts. God gives me the strength to do everything I have done or will do, and I fully intend on honoring Him with my body by fueling it with good food, by staying consistent with my exercise routine, thinking positive and giving my all for Him.

I actually have no idea, haha. That’s just what the package said. It’s made with cream and sour cream, though, so maybe that has something to do with it. Definitely delicious and full of mushrooms, which are my favorite. :)

All I want, more than anything, is to just go home. Back to knowing everyone in my school. Back to a safe neighborhood and a convenience store run by the sweetest people you’d ever meet. To a simpler time where friendships were worth their weight in gold and it had nothing to do with how much money your parents had, what model car you drove or how tan you were. When the hottest “club” around was teen night at the YMCA and a trip to the mall was actually a trip out of the city. When our over-stimulated minds could be placated by Seven Bridges adventures, movie nights and the swing set at Pulaski Park, as long as it was shared with good friends and we got home before dark.
This place I am now is not my home. It’s beautiful in the conventional “sunny Florida and beaches galore sort of way,” but it’s just not for me, and I can’t wait to get out.
Some shots will always be there, like this one of the buildings on the Milwaukee River. Just stand in the right place, that’s all. July 2011.
